At Touristic we believe travel should feel free, and so should reading about it. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect when you visit us, why we collect it, and what control you keep over it.

Who we are

Touristic is a brand operated by the legal entity TELYX SERVIÇOS E SISTEMAS, registered in Portugal under VAT number PT318894696. That entity is the data controller for this website and holds all agreements, invoices and legal obligations connected to it.

We handle personal data in accordance with international data protection standards, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us at any time at geral@touristic.pt.

What we collect

When you subscribe to the newsletter we ask for your email address. When you write through the contact form we receive your name, email and message. If you browse the site, our analytics tools record anonymous information such as the pages you visit, your approximate region and the device you use. That is roughly everything.

Why we collect it

We use your email solely to send you the stories you signed up for, and you can leave at any time with a single click. Messages you send through the form go straight to our editorial inbox so we can reply. Anonymous browsing data helps us understand which stories resonate, so we can write more of those and fewer that miss the mark.

Who we share it with

Nobody, in practical terms. We do not sell or rent personal data. We rely on a small number of trusted service providers (an email delivery platform, a hosting provider, an analytics tool) and each of them is bound to handle your data with the same care we do.

Cookies

Cookies fall into four groups here. Necessary ones load the site, remember your language and keep it secure, so they are always on. Preferences remember settings such as your theme. Statistics count visits anonymously so we know which stories are read. Marketing measures campaigns and relevant travel offers. Nothing beyond the necessary group runs until you agree to it.

You can change your mind whenever you like: use the Cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the choices, or clear them in your browser without losing access to the site.

Your rights

Under European data protection rules you can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it completely. A short note to geral@touristic.pt is enough.

Changes

If we update this policy we will note it here with a fresh date. Material changes will also be announced in the newsletter, so nothing important happens behind your back.
